Virgin and Christ-child
V irgin and Christchild was commissioned for a top window in a stairwell of a small Roman Catholic Primary School in Camden Town, London, UK. It was inspired by the glass of the 12th Century Chartres Cathedral and uses stylised figures and bright colours. The five petals around the centre contain a dove for the Holy Spirit, 2 lilies as symbols of the Virgin Mary and the school motto ‘Action not Words’
